On Tuesday, 04/08/2026, the Gaza Strip is witnessing the largest mass funeral in its history.

Today, the bodies of 112 people were recovered from a single site in Gaza City, after access to them had been impossible for several months due to ongoing military operations and the difficulty for rescue teams and necessary equipment to enter the area.

According to field data, the total number of casualties and missing persons at this site has reached 308 people. Civil defense teams and volunteers are still continuing search and recovery operations under extremely difficult humanitarian conditions.

Hundreds of residents are expected to participate in the funeral procession, which will depart from one of the central hospitals in the city. This scene reflects the scale of human suffering and the significant losses caused by the war to civilians in the Gaza Strip, amid a severe shortage of basic services.

Be Human is following the deteriorating humanitarian situation with deep concern, and reiterates its call to ensure access for relief and medical teams to all areas, and to provide protection for civilians in accordance with international humanitarian law.
