This project aims to distribute personal hygiene kits to the most vulnerable women living in Al-Shimaa Camp in Deir Al-Balah.
The camp hosts a large number of women who have lost their husbands and lack a primary breadwinner, making them among the most vulnerable groups in the current humanitarian crisis. Limited access to hygiene supplies exposes them to serious health risks and undermines their dignity.
Through this intervention, the project will provide essential hygiene and personal care items to support women’s health, dignity, and daily well-being.
Background and Justification
Women in displacement settings face severe shortages of basic hygiene supplies due to poverty, overcrowding, and limited access to humanitarian aid.
In Al-Shimaa Camp, many women—especially widows—lack financial support, making it extremely difficult to obtain even the most basic personal care items.
The absence of hygiene materials increases the risk of infections, negatively affects mental health, and reduces overall quality of life.
This project responds to an urgent humanitarian need by providing comprehensive hygiene kits that promote health, protection, and dignity.
