This project aims to distribute one tray of eggs (30 eggs) and one liter of fresh pasteurized milk to 130 displaced families living in displacement camps in Khan Younis.
Due to the prolonged conflict and repeated displacement, many families—especially children—have experienced severe food insecurity and periods of malnutrition. The distribution of eggs and milk provides an immediate nutritional intervention that supports child growth, strengthens the immune system, and improves overall family health.
The project will be implemented by local volunteers, ensuring fair distribution, proper documentation, and dignified delivery of assistance to the most vulnerable households.
Background and Justification
Displaced families in Khan Younis camps continue to face critical shortages of nutritious food. Children, in particular, have suffered from hunger and inadequate dietary intake during the previous months of war, which has negatively affected their physical development and immune systems.
Eggs and milk are affordable, culturally accepted, and highly nutritious food items that can rapidly improve dietary quality. This intervention directly addresses urgent nutritional gaps and contributes to restoring a minimum level of food security among displaced families.

Nutritional Value and Health Benefits
Eggs
Eggs are a highly nutritious and affordable source of food, especially important for children recovering from hunger:
• High-quality protein essential for growth and muscle development
• Rich in vitamins A, D, E, and B12
• Support brain development and cognitive function in children
• Strengthen the immune system
• Help prevent protein-energy malnutrition
Fresh Pasteurized Milk
Milk is a critical source of nutrients for children and families:
• High in calcium for bone and teeth development
• Contains protein necessary for tissue repair and growth
• Provides vitamin D and B vitamins
• Supports immune health and overall physical recovery
• Particularly beneficial for children who have experienced prolonged food deprivation
Together, eggs and milk provide a balanced nutritional package that supports both short-term recovery and long-term health.
Implementation Plan
• Coordination with camp leaders and identification of beneficiaries
• Procurement of eggs and fresh pasteurized milk
• Transportation of items to distribution points
• Organized and fair distribution process
• Documentation (photography, beneficiary lists, reporting)
• Preparation of the final narrative and financial report
Sustainability and Impact
Although this is a short-term emergency intervention, it has an immediate and meaningful impact by:
• Improving child nutrition and health
• Supporting recovery from hunger and malnutrition
• Reducing the risk of illness among displaced children
• Strengthening trust between communities and local humanitarian initiatives
A simple food package can restore strength, hope, and dignity to families living under extremely difficult conditions.
