Rodent Control Project - Mouse Catching

Project Overview

This humanitarian and public health project aims to reduce the spread of rodents, particularly mice, in residential areas, displacement camps, and affected communities by providing safe and effective solutions for rodent control.

Rodents are among the main causes of disease transmission and contamination of food and water, especially in overcrowded environments with weak infrastructure, where they reproduce rapidly. Therefore, this project plays a crucial role in protecting public health, reducing health risks, and improving the overall quality of life in the targeted communities.

Project Objectives

• Reduce the spread of mice and rodents in targeted areas.
• Minimize the risk of rodent-borne diseases.
• Protect food and water sources from contamination.
• Improve hygiene and environmental conditions in camps and communities.
• Support affected families by providing effective and safe rodent control methods.
• Raise community awareness about hygiene and prevention practices.

Target Group

The project targets displaced families and densely populated residential areas, especially locations suffering from poor sanitation services and waste accumulation, which create favorable conditions for rodent infestation.

Implementation Plan

  1. Assess areas most affected by rodent infestation.

  2. Coordinate with local committees and community representatives.

  3. Distribute safe and effective rodent control tools (traps, deterrents, and preventive solutions).

  4. Conduct awareness campaigns on hygiene and prevention methods.

  5. Carry out field follow-ups to ensure effectiveness.

  6. Document results and prepare a final project report.

Expected Impact

The project is expected to significantly reduce rodent populations, leading to improved health and environmental conditions in targeted areas and lowering the incidence of rodent-related diseases. It also enhances the sense of safety and cleanliness within affected communities and reduces the daily burden on displaced families.

Project Message

We believe that a clean environment is the foundation of health and dignity, and that protecting communities from health risks begins with simple yet effective actions that contribute to a safe and healthy life for all.
